Bio

Hello! My name is Connor Mills, and I am a Senior in the Food Science program here at UW-Madison. I am from Racine, WI and my favorite food is cheese curds!

I was first interested in food science when I spoke to an alumni about the major and learned about all the amazing opportunities in the industry. It opened up a whole new world to me and made me interested in what work goes into all the tasty food and drinks in grocery stores, restaurants, and convenience stores across the globe.

The department has exposed me to some great opportunities as I was able to intern during each summer of college at Good Foods Group in Kenosha, WI and then travel to New York to intern at PepsiCo.

During the school year, I stay involved within the department serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, member of the Food Science Club, and as an Ambassador for the department. The faculty within the UW Food Science Department have set me up for success and I am excited to use the knowledge I have gained as I start my career after graduation.
